Description
The most famous, sold and copied product in the history of furniture. Designed by Michael Thonet in 1860, No. 14 was immediately identified as the bistro chair. Minimalist in its use of material and in the number of parts that make it up, only six, No. 14 is the result of almost twenty years of research. Simple, flexible and always up-to-date, it is considered the first example of industrial design. Its structure is made up of solid beech elements, masterfully steam-curved. The backrest and rear legs are made of a single piece of wood.
Formal elegance, solidity and lightness have determined the success of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna. A unique production process that is rooted in a history rich in influences and that is renewed today in the high quality of the materials that the brand chooses to make its products. Wood, chosen for its durability and versatility, is combined with fabrics that enrich the Gebrüder Thonet Vienna collections with precious colours.
